"They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on." Mark 12:44
There is great power in giving what you have. As illustrated in the Gospel according to Mark, we see Jesus teach his disciples a valuable lesson as He shared His insights having observed those giving an offering in the temple. Jesus observed those that had acquired a great amount of wealth giving up tons of riches in the temple offering. By contrast, He also observed a widow who had given her very last - this last turned out to be only a few coins. Never 2 Fly 2 Pray Founder Jeffrey Lee was inspired to launch a coat challenge that reaches beyond the typical coat drive parameters and calls participants to give what they have and take those donations a step further.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
The Jeffrey Lee Coat Off My Back Challenge encourages participants to take up to 4 coats from their closets and hand-deliver those coats to four different persons in need. As bearers of the light, we are all called to spread and share our light with the world. As a brand, we believe in allowing GOD’s light to shine through every aspect of our business and we intentionally seek to deliver that light directly to our customers.
